Unveiling the "new" face of Valpolicella

Introducing Bertani's new look! Timeless simplicity. That’s our first impression of Cantine Bertani’s new restyling - labels that reflect the company’s contemporariness whilst staying true to the its 150-year-old history and style. The new packaging is in circulation on new vintages as of January this year and will be hitting our shores soon.

Cantine Bertani was founded on the values of respect, coherence and patience. Respect for their territory, stylistic coherence that has never succumbed to easy production options, and patience as is required to produce a painstaking wine like Amarone Classico.

With a long and rich history of as one of the most important flag bearers of Verona’s famed Valpolicella wine region, Bertani’s new look is a more modern mirror of the stylistic coherence of the company’s wine production. According to Bertani, “For more than a century and a half we have made wines that are recognizable for their identity, wines with a clear and therefore unmistakable stylistic profile.”

Those wines - the iconic Amarone, the elegant Soave, the Valpolicella and Valpolicella Ripasso, et al -  are fruits of a long-standing belief in the individual territories of the Veronese zone (which, incidentally, boasts the highest number of DOCs on the peninsula). Bertani’s approach to their production has been respectful both in the vineyard and in the cellar and has managed, over the decades, to develop a style that is continuously rethought and evolving, staying relevant without ever giving in to compromises. Remaining coherent with this authentic identity represents an essential value for the company.


A PHILOSOPHY THAT REMAINS STRONG AND PERTINENT TO THE PRESENT DAY AND BEYOND

Bertani regard innovation as respect for tradition. “Perpetuating a style has never sufficed. We have always felt the need to keep discussion alive. Being faithful to their mission means respecting what has been done and at the same time, rethinking it every day in order to assure quality worthy of our potential and reputation.

Bertani has never betrayed its style. It’s at the very core of its uniqueness, and knowing how to adapt it over time in deference to tradition is its strength.

Not just new packaging, Bertani continues to embrace the challenge of sustainability – never not a value for the company. “A territory has value only if we are capable of making it express its full potential”. Bertani understands implicitly its winery and respects the genetic patrimony of its vineyards so as to protect the biodiversity of the land, employing non-invasive ecological practices and counting on the work of a team of deeply committed men and women.

And so begins a new chapter in the Bertani story.
